Feb 25, Kathmandu- The 3rd Nepal Rural Film Festival organized by Celebrity Nepal is going to be held in the coming Baisakh. In this festival, which will be organized in Ramechhap municipality, indigenous short films, documentaries, feature films and language films made in the village environment will participate.
The festival chairman Raghunath Sapkota informed that registration has been opened for those who want to participate in the festival. Films selected by the jury team will be screened at the festival using state-of-the-art technology and awards will be given to the best films, according to the organizers.
To promote tourism and bring Nepali films to the rural market, the festival will feature films based on original Nepali rural stories.
The main objective of the festival is to attract the audience towards original Nepali films and make them habit of watching films regularly, to bring films made on rural stories to the world and to promote the language, art, culture and tourism of the local area.
The festival was held in Laprak in Gorkha district for the first year and Bhakundebesi in Kavre district for the second time. The third edition of Jagaruk Yuva Club Ramechhap will be managed locally, while the coordinator of the program is film director Kamal Ekchai Magar.
