Mar 16, Kathmandu- Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Karnali Pradesh and won the Koshi Pradesh Trophy National T20 Cricket Tournament title. Army won the match on Saturday by 9 wickets.
Having set a target of 111 runs for victory, Army chased it down successfully with the loss of just one wicket before 46 balls. Tirtharaj Das, who was declared the player of the match for Army, played a half-century innings. He hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in 33 balls. Similarly, opener Imran Shaikh remained not out after scoring 38 runs. Wicketkeeper Santosh Karki scored 21 runs. Dinesh Adhikari took the only wicket for Karnali.
Earlier, Karnali, who won the toss and batted first, could score only 110 runs in 20 overs after getting out. While Bipin Rawal scored the highest 27 runs, openers Rabindra Shahi and Manish Thapa scored 21 runs each. Army's Teertharaj Das, Bashir Ahmed, Shahab Alam and Sumit Shrestha took 2 wickets each while Pawan Karki took one wicket.
