UN Has Also Commented On Kejriwal's Arrest

Mar 29, Kathmandu- After Germany and the US, the United Nations has commented on the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson of the United Nations Secretary General, commented on Kejriwal's arrest. He said, "We hope that everyone's rights will be protected in India. It is election time in India, so all citizens will have the opportunity to vote in a clean environment".

Earlier, Germany and America also made similar comments about Kejriwal's arrest. The Ministry of External Affairs of India sought clarification from the diplomats of the US and Germany for commenting on internal matters.

Chief Minister Kejriwal has been in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) since March 22 on charges of irregularities in the liquor policy. The court allowed him to be detained till April 1.
