Mar 29, Kathmandu- Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that he himself will take command in preparing the next year's budget.

Speaking at the 25th general meeting of the Nepal Construction Industry Federation held in Hetaunda, he said that he will take command of the next year's budget.

He said that in the previous government, the prime minister wanted to cut on one side and the finance minister wanted to cut on the other side, which caused complications. Dahal said that for the same reason, during the previous government, there was no agreement on the matter of getting payment to the builders.

The Prime Minister said that during the previous government, the process of payment of the outstanding amount to be received by the builders for the construction work was very complicated.

He said that there could be nothing more dishonest than the government's refusal to pay for the work done by construction professionals for a long time.

Prime Minister Dahal said that even though the Public Procurement Regulations have been amended several times, they have not yet addressed the needs of Nepal.
