Mar 29, Kathmandu- Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has asked to give priority in addressing citizens' complaints.

Home Minister Lamichhane while instructing the security officers at the District Administration Office, Jhapa, asked them to give priority to addressing the complaints of the citizens.

Stating that it is the responsibility of the government to provide services to the common citizens, he said that since the government will come politically, the permanent government (employees) should give priority to the services of the citizens. He instructed the security officers to fulfil the responsibilities given by the law.

"I have gone from asking questions to answering. Now the work you do is the basis of my answer," he said, "If you want to make me non-answerable, it is in your hands to give a clear answer. Work accordingly".

"Give priority to addressing citizens' complaints. No one should go above you with a complaint", he said. Lamichhane said that a positive message should be sent to the citizens to instill hope and enthusiasm.

He said that one should work with ideas instead of waiting for instructions.

He said that the perpetrators should come to the administration and the police before the victims and the tendency of the administration and the police to act with them should end.
