27-Year-Old Sujan Will Continue The Pilgrimage Piercing His Tongue For Second Time

Apr 02, Kathmandu- 27-year-old Sujan Bagh Shrestha of Bode is going to continue the Jatra by piercing his tongue for the second time in the 'Jibro Chedne Jatra' held every year on 2nd Baisakh in Bode of Madhyapurthimi Municipality of Bhaktapur.

Buddhkrishna Bagh Shrestha, 50 years old from Bode, who is continuing the festival after piercing his tongue for the ninth time, passed on his younger son Sujan by piercing his tongue last year.

Krishna Chandra Bagh Shrestha, after piercing his tongue 12 times, his brother Buddha Krishna Bagh Shrestha continued the festival after piercing his tongue nine times, this year Buddha Krishna's youngest son is going to continue the festival by piercing his tongue for the second time.

It is said that a person who pierces his tongue after offering Chardam should not touch an unclean person, should not touch a woman, should not touch a leprous, should not touch a woman who has given birth, should not eat salt, should not leave the country.
