Apr 11, Kathmandu- Civil Liberation Party (Naupa) has claimed that an agreement has been reached to get the Chief Minister in the Far West Province.
According to the equation made in the Union, it is said that there is an agreement to continue the coalition of UML, Maoists, NUP and Unified Socialists in the Far Western Province and run the government in turn. Damodar Pandit, a central member of NUP, said that there was an agreement on the alliance to take the Chief Minister and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development in the Far West Province. Pandit has also said that NUP will promote Kailash Chaudhary, a member of the state assembly, as the chief minister.
Ranjita Shrestha, president of Kailash NUP, is considered close. Shrestha has recently removed the responsibility of Ghanshyam Chaudhary, who is also the Minister of Economic Affairs, from the leader of the provincial parliamentary party. Although the letter appointing Kailash in his place has been sent to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari has not taken a decision.
After the political equation changed, there was a dispute between party president Shrestha and guardian Resham Chaudhary on whether to support the Congress-led government in Far West or to go with the new alliance.
