Jalpadevi Cable Car Construction Work Has Started In Kailali

Apr 15, Kathmandu- The construction of the first phase of Jalpadevi cable car, which is to be constructed from Chisapani to Rajkanda in Kailali, has started. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI), started the construction work today by performing puja at the construction site of the project.

The length of the cable car to be built with an investment of five billion rupees will be three kilometers and one hundred meters. There will be 15 towers and 34 gondolas in the cable car. The cable car, which will travel for about 10 minutes, will have the capacity to serve 6,000 passengers daily.

In the journey of the cable car, which starts from the project site near the Chisapani bridge of the Karnali river, one can see the religious places such as the Karnali river, Jalpadevi, Kalbhairav, Kalikadevi, Kailashdham, and tourist places including the elephant stone.

Along with the construction of Chisapani-Rajkanda cable car, homestays and resorts will also be built for tourists.
