Meeting Between Parliamentary Delegation Of The Republic Of Korea With President Dahal

Apr 16, Kathmandu- The parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Korea, which is on a visit to Nepal, had a courtesy meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal.

The visiting team led by Lee Sangheon, Chairman of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and Chairman of the Korea-Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Group, met at the Chairman's Office at Singhdarbar today. According to the President's Secretariat, Nepal-Korea diplomatic relations, exchange of parliamentary experience and cooperation were discussed during the meeting. On that occasion, Chairman Dahal discussed the completion of 50 years of Nepal-Korea diplomatic relations and stressed that to take the cordial and friendly relations to a higher level, in the future, we should continue to expand parliamentary experience exchange, mutual support and cooperation.

"Parliament is an institution that connects with people's concerns, it is necessary to strengthen the relationship between parliaments to strengthen the relationship between the people", President Dahal said, "I feel that our relationship has become closer and stronger with your visit to Nepal". Discussing the Korean government's investment in Nepal's hydroelectricity, agriculture, automobiles and other sectors through KOICA, he also asked to invest in the areas where the chemical fertilizer industry can be established to increase agricultural production, and skilled manpower can be produced in technical education.

Saying that the third investment conference is going to be held in Nepal, President Dahal requested the Republic of Korea government and the private sector to invest in Nepal through the delegation. During the meeting, Chairman of Korea-Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Group Lee said that this meeting has helped to strengthen the relationship between the two countries. He discussed that the Korean government is always ready for the economic development and prosperity of Nepal and emphasized that everyone should take initiatives to encourage foreign investment and create a working environment. He said that he had been to Nepal many times before and that he had found something new every time he came.
