Senior Citizens And Disable Ones Vote From Home For The First Time In India

Apr 19, Kathmandu- In the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections in India, which started today, for the first time, senior citizens and disabled citizens have been given the right to vote from home. For the first time, the Election Commission of India has given senior citizens and disabled citizens the right to vote at home.

For a few weeks, Election Commission officials have been visiting the homes of the elderly and disabled to collect ballot papers. There are 8.2 million voters in the age group of 85 to 99 years in India.
