Supreme Cooperative Case: Order to release Dipesh Pun on bail

Apr 19, Kathmandu- The court has ordered to release Dipesh Pun on bail in the Supreme Cooperative fraud case of Rupandehi.

After the detention hearing, the bench of District Court Judge Dr. Shriprakash Upreti ordered Pun to be released on a bond of 4 lakhs. Pun is the son of former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun.

Also, Shrestedar Yagya Murthi Gyawali said that the court has ordered to send the chairman of the cooperative Om Prakash Gurung to prison.

The court ordered Nabin Achami to be released on bail of Rs 10 lakh, Durga Chapagai with Rs 18 lakh, Deepak Neupane with Rs 445 thousand, Neeta Thapamgar with Rs 2 lakh and Roshni Gurung with Rs 2 lakh.

The District Public Prosecutor's Office had filed a case against 28 people for embezzling about one billion rupees of 1 thousand 831 savers.

The deadline has been issued in the name of the rest of the defendants.
