The government will bring a new policy to operate closed industries: Minister Bhandari

Apr 19, Kathmandu- Industry, Commerce and Supply Minister Damodar Bhandari has said that the government will soon bring a new policy for the operation of industries that have closed due to various reasons and are in ailing condition.

In the opening program of the five-day industrial exhibition and information technology fair organized by the Confederation of Industry and Commerce and Computer Association Nepal, Chitwan at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10, he said that if the closed and sick industries can be operated at different times, a policy will be brought after careful discussion.

Minister Bhandari informed that at least one industrial sector expansion program will be introduced in each province from the policies and programs and budget of the next financial year. He said, 'The government is trying to prevent industrialists from becoming disappointed. We will change the current disappointment into hope.'

Mentioning that the government is mainly focusing on the investment conference, Bhandari said that the upcoming policies and programs and budget will be brought in such a way that the industrialists feel it. "The ministry is bringing the domestic product consumption policy and 'startup' program soon, to increase the domestic production, the industry policy should also be changed timely", he said.

Stating that economic activity could not increase due to policy problems among the three levels of government, he said that the government will move forward by ending all such problems. Minister Bhandari informed that the government is trying to make the current conference more successful by absorbing the experience of the past two investment conferences.
