JSP Left Lumbini Government

Apr 21, Kathmandu- The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has pulled out of the Lumbini government.

Bhandarilal Ahir from JSP joined the government. Bhandari, who is the Minister of Agriculture and Land Management, has resigned from his post.

Ahir was appointed as minister on Chaitra 25 last. JSP has decided to leave the government after being given only one ministry for demanding two ministries. On the basis of the same decision, Minister Ahir resigned on Sunday.

There are three JSP MPs in the 87-member Lumbini region. Chief Minister Jokh Bahadur Mahara got 48 votes when he took the vote of confidence on 30th of Chaitra. Even though Jaspa left the government, it did not withdraw its support to the government.

If the support is withdrawn, it seems that the government will be in the minority.
