Chinese Police Launched On A Search Operation For 'Financial Fugitives Abroad'

Apr 23, Kathmandu- China's Ministry of Public Security has planned a campaign for this year to catch economic fugitives who are absconding abroad.

To safeguard national security and social stability, the campaign, code-named 'Fox Hunt-2024', is expected to intensify the anti-corruption drive and prevent and discourage major risks.

In 10 consecutive years from 2024, China's "Fox Hunt" operations have arrested more than 9,000 economic fugitives in more than 120 countries and regions and recovered economic losses of about 49 billion yuan (about 6.8 billion US dollars).
