Apr 23, Kathmandu- President Ram Chandra Paudel has requested Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar to take initiative for the release of Nepali student Bipin Joshi, who went missing after the attack by Hamas in Israel.

President Paudel made this request on the occasion of the bilateral meeting with him today at Sheetal Niwas. Qatari Emir came to Nepal on Tuesday afternoon on a two-day state visit to Nepal at the friendly invitation of President Paudel.

President Paudel's press adviser Kiran Pokharel informed that the release of Bipin is a matter of great interest to him and he has asked the Emir of Qatar to take the initiative for his release.

Bipin Joshi is missing after being attacked by Hamas on October 7, 2023. On that occasion, the Emir of Qatar said that he had taken interest in this matter in the past and also said that he would take more initiatives in this regard.
