Hearing Of The Case Involving Top Bahadur Rayamajhi!

Apr 25, Kathmandu- The writ petition filed in the Supreme Court by 10 people, including former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, who is in pre-trial detention in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees, is being heard today.

The hearing in the joint bench of Supreme Court Justice Tek Prasad Dhungana and Kumar Regmi, which has been going on since last week, was also kept under observation on Baisakh 10th. The petition is going to be heard in the same bench today.

The Kathmandu District Court had ordered to send them to prison for preliminary investigation. Challenging the order of the District Court, they appealed to the Patan High Court, and that court also ordered them to be kept in custody pending trial.

Along with Top Bahadur Rayamazhi, suspended secretary Tek Narayan Pandey, Congress leader and former MP Angtawa Sherpa, Shamsher Mian, Keshav Prasad Dulal, Sandesh Sharma, Gobind Kumar Chaudhary, Sagar Rai, Indrajit Rai, Sanu Bhandari reached the Supreme Court.

After the accused Angtawa Sherpa filed the writ of detention on Magh 14, the remaining nine accused filed the writ of detention.

On Falgun 9th, the bench of Judge Nahkul Subedi issued a show cause order, and then the case was adjourned three times in a row. In the fifth petition, the joint bench of Justices Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma and Sharanga Subedi ordered the documents of the order to be sent to prison for preliminary investigation.
