Apr 25, Kathmandu- With the agreement on the division of ministries in the Karnali province, the preparations for the expansion of the cabinet have started.

With the finalization of the share of the ministry on Tuesday, the leaders are preparing for the selection of the minister. Ransingh Pariyar has been appointed as the chief whip of Maoists on Wednesday. He is yet to be assigned the responsibilities of the ministry. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forestry and Environment and Ministry of Water Resources and Energy Development are under the CPN Maoist Center in Karnali. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law and the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives are part of UML. Yamlal Kandel, who was appointed Chief Minister on Chaitra 27, is taking the vote of confidence today after 17 days.

UML has given the responsibility of choosing the ministers to Kandel, while the Maoists have also given it to the party leader and former Chief Minister Raj Kumar Sharma. CPN-UML chief whip Tekraj Pachhai said discussions are underway about a new minister. Maoist parliamentary party leader Sharma also said that the name of the minister will be finalized soon.
