30 People Have Died From Scabies In Thailand

Apr 25, Kathmandu- Thailand issued a hot weather warning on Thursday.

This year, after 30 people died from scabies, authorities in the capital city of Bangkok have issued an extreme heat warning. The temperature is expected to exceed 52 degrees Celsius. The temperature in the concrete-strewn area of Bangkok reached 40.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

A similar level was forecast on Thursday as well. This week, parts of South and Southeast Asia are experiencing an exceptionally hot weather wave. Schools across the Philippines have been closed, while worshipers in Bangladesh have had to pray for rainfall.

The Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday night that 30 people have died from scabies between January 1 and April 17. In 2023, 37 people died from the floods.
