'DDC' Claims To Have Paid Rs 480 Million To Farmers

Apr 26, Kathmandu- Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has paid Rs 48 crore to the farmers. DDC has paid Rs 48 crore in 13 days with the increase in sales and distribution of milk products in Baisakh.

Acting General Manager of the Institute Rajendra Prasad Adhikari said that with the onset of summer, the sale of dairy products (milk, curd, paneer, lassi, ice cream) has increased, making it easy for the farmers to pay the amount.

DDC has paid 10 million rupees in Biratnagar region, 100 million rupees in Janakpur region, 80 million rupees in Hetauda region, 42 million 500 thousand rupees in Lumbini region, 27 million 500 thousand rupees in Nepalgunj region, 15 million rupees in Dhangadhi region and 130 million rupees in Kathmandu region.

The Acting General Manager said that the farmers have yet to pay money by purchasing fodder from the DDC animal feed industry operated by DDC in Hetauda, ​​and they have also deducted Rs.6 crore. Five lakh kilos of fodder is being produced every month from the animal feed industry operated in Hetauda of DDC.
