Apr 26, Kathmandu- Bharatpur visit year 2024, hotels in Bharatpur are going to give discounts to tourists.

It was decided to set the fee and give discount after a discussion with hoteliers held on Thursday in the presence of Renu Dahal, head of Bharatpur Metropolitan city. Accordingly, hoteliers will give up to 15 percent discount on food and 25 percent on accommodation.

Businessmen have said that the discount ratio may increase further. Metropolitan Chief Dahal said that tourist activity has increased in Bharatpur and requested that there should be no reduction in the service facilities provided to the tourists coming here. According to Dr. Bishwa Subedi, a tourism expert of the metropolitan city, after the announcement of the tourism year, 20 programs out of 51 national and international level programs have been organized in Bharatpur.

Expert Subedi informed that large national and international level sports competitions and exhibitions have increased the movement of people in Bharatpur. Although the hoteliers of Meghauli and Jagatpur are positive about the proposal of the metropolis, they have also proposed to decentralize the programs done by the metropolis to Jagatpur and Golaghat as well. Sandesh Chapagain, president of Meghauli hoteliers' association, said that the number of tourists did not increase as expected due to the tourist season.

For the year of visit, the metropolis has separated its major destinations based on cultural diversity, geographical diversity, natural conditions, topography etc. Bharatpur has Chitwan National Park which is known in the world for rare wildlife viewing and tourism, two big rivers Rapti and Narayani, beautiful tourist town of Meghauli, Golaghat, Patihani, Rhino Kunj are major tourist areas of Bharatpur.

From Devghat, the confluence of Trishuli and Kaligandaki, to Maulakalika temple, community forest, Bisahjari lake, Narayani coast area, Chowkidanda, Kavilasgadhi, Jagatpur, Batuli pond, Kasara, the metropolis is promoting tourist activities as the main places of the year. The main attraction here is the jungle safari and viewing of wild animals such as tigers and rhinos.
