More Than 2 Tons Of Garbage Collected From The 'Mountains'

Apr 30, Kathmandu- The 'Safa Himal Campaign-2024' team has collected more than 2 tons of garbage from the mountains including Everest. The team of the Nepali Army has collected the waste by Sunday.

The collected waste is of both decomposable and non-decomposable types. The Nepali Army has informed that the Safa Himal campaign is continuing.

Nepalese army's safa himal campaign team is working in coordination with Everest National Park, Everest Pollution Control Committee, Intermediate Area Management Committee, local bodies and intellectuals, leading representatives of various organizations.

Under this campaign, which is run with the basic intention of 'An Endeavor to Save the Himalayas', the target of collecting around 10 tons of garbage and five human corpses from different camps of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse mountains has been taken. The campaign, which started on Chaitra 29, will end on Jestha 23, the day of the World Environment Day.
