Bhojpur-Biratnagar Flight Started After 6 Years Of Closure

May 04, Kathmandu- After 6 years of flight suspension, Bhojpur-Biratnagar's flight resumption has shown excitement among passengers. The aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation has again started Bhojpur-Biratnagar flight from today.

Travelers are happy to be able to travel to Biratnagar six years after its closure. Bhojpur Municipal Chief Kailash Kumar distributed food and cakes and wished the pasengers well.

According to him, the corporation's flight from Kathmandu flew to Biratnagar with 9 passengers.

"It is now easy for passengers who are in trouble to go to Biratnagar, we district residents are happy about it, the corporation must have regular flights," he said.

Prakash Khadka, head of the Bhojpur station of the Corporation, said that the airline has scheduled flights to Biratnagar for Saturdays and Thursdays in the week.

"For now, we have made a schedule to come from Kathmandu to Bhojpur and go to Biratnagar and return from Biratnagar to Kathmandu again," he said.

The Corporation had stopped the Biratnagar flight while maintaining the Bhojpur-Kathmandu flight schedule, showing problems such as lack of aircraft.

After the year 2074, Biratnagar flight was not possible. Addressing the district residents' demand, the corporation will operate two flights a week for the time being, according to station chief Khadka.

Due to the suspension of air flights, there was a problem in taking the recommended patients from the district hospital to the well-equipped hospitals and senior citizens.

The mayor said that the traffic will be eased when the flights closed due to the problems faced by senior citizens and patients are resumed.

"Now, the corporation should fly so that the service is operated on the specified day so that the service reaches the citizens who are in trouble," he said.

Airline Corporation in Bhojpur has stated that the Bhojpur-Biratnagar fare has been fixed at Rs 4,000.

Prioritizing the services of the citizens, arrangements have been made to buy tickets through eSewa. The 545-meter-long airport was blacked out, but the flight to Biratnagar was halted.

Shankar Prasad Acharya, a resident of Bhojpur, says that after the resumption of flights to and from the state capital, it has become easier.
