3-Point Instructions Of The Ministry Of Home Affairs To Prevent Evasion Of Detention

May 06, Kathmandu- The Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has given 3 orders to prevent the arrest of those who have been arrested during the investigation to avoid detention. Questions are raised from the public about those arrested for investigation staying in the hospital and evading detention.

On Monday, Lamichhane issued instructions to keep only chronic patients in the hospital. As an alternative to being taken to a hospital, it has been instructed that a government hospital or a doctor registered with the Medical Council will take a decision on whether or not to take the patient to the hospital.

Similarly, if the patient needs to be kept in the hospital for observation for more than 48 hours, the reason has been asked to be disclosed. On Chaitra 13, the Ministry had asked the Medical Council to study and submit a report on the matter.

According to the secretariat of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Lamichhane, 3 points of instructions were issued based on the report.
