10,000 Metric Tons Of Pulses Production Per Year

May 06, Kathmandu- 10,000 metric tons of pulses have been produced in Bara this year. Raj Narayan Prasad Shah, head of Agriculture Knowledge Center Bara, informed that this year, farmers have cultivated different pulses and produced 10,035 metric tons of pulses worth 10 billion.

He said that the pulses produced are being sold at the rate of 10,000 rupees per quintal and this year the farmers here have earned more than 10.35 million rupees.

In the district, a total area of ​​11 thousand 450 hectares has been cultivated with lentils, pulses and other pulses. Last year, 11,69 metric tons of pulses were produced in 11,650 hectares of cultivated land, according to the Knowledge Center.
