I will now take the initiative to bring back the youth in the Russian army: Prime Minister

May 07, Kathmandu- Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" has said that he will take diplomatic initiatives at the highest level to bring back Nepalis who have joined the Russian army.

Prime Minister Prachanda said that the government will take high-level initiatives for the rescue of Nepalese serving in the Russian army in a meeting with the members of the campaign to save the lives of Nepalese who are in the Russian army today at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar.

"The Prime Minister's Office is committed to addressing your demands," Prime Minister Prachanda said, "The government has been taking diplomatic initiatives continuously, initiatives have been taken through diplomatic notes."

Mentioning that the government is constantly working to protect the lives of Nepali citizens, Prime Minister Prachanda reiterated that he is committed to addressing the demands of the families of Nepalis serving in the Russian army.

"There is a high-level diplomatic initiative, I will take more initiatives", Prime Minister Prachanda said. Mentioning that he had spoken to Nepalese on the battlefield, the Prime Minister informed that their situation is being discussed continuously through diplomatic channels.

The families of Nepalese serving in the Russian army staged a sit-in in Kathmandu demanding for bringing Nepalese who were at war back to Nepal.

The sit-in was suspended after Prime Minister Prachanda's public relations expert, Budha GC, expressed his commitment to address their demands.

According to the same commitment, Prime Minister Prachanda today met the members of those families and expressed his commitment to bring back Nepalese who are at war by taking high-level initiatives.
