Scrap businessmen are guaranteed full security: Prime Minister

May 11, Kathmandu- Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that the dozers targeting the scrap business will be stopped. Prime Minister Prachanda said this while accepting the letter of attention of scrap businessmen at Baluwatar, the official residence of the Prime Minister.

Businessmen who participated in the meeting informed that Prime Minister Prachanda said that Kathmandu Metropolis cannot arrest businessmen against the stay order of the court. They objected to the issuance of a circular from the ward offices within the metropolis to displace the Kawadi traders who were registered and doing their profession and business within the metropolis.

They complained that the metropolis did not even renew the registration of their commercial firm. They also informed Prime Minister Dahal that they have been registered and paying tax to the government as per the prevailing law.

They reminded Prime Minister Dahal that an order was also issued by the respected court in the name of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (High Court) not to damage or demolish the structure of the houses and towers of scrap businessmen.
