Fugitive Accused Of The Kalanki Rape Incident Been Arrested

May 16, Kathmandu- Police have arrested two young men who absconded after gang-raping a woman in a guest house in Kathmandu. The arrested are 20-year-old Saurabh Jha, resident of Pipra Rural Municipality-5, Mahottari, and currently residing in Kalanki, Kathmandu, and 22-year-old Sajan Adhikari, resident of Kavrepalanchowk Namobuddha-9, currently residing in Bafal.

Two people are accused of repeatedly raping '26 Brita Kalimati 080/081 (3)' (changed name) at Lomash Guest House in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14 Kalanki on Bhadra 29 of last year. Superintendent of Police Rabindra Regmi informed that the team of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office succeeded in arresting the two persons who were absconding after the incident.

According to Regmi, Jha was arrested from Bafal and Adhikari from Thamel. It has come to light that the officer is also absconding from the District Police Office Dhading in connection with the murder case of Paush 4th. Both of them have been sent to Kalimati police circle for necessary investigation.
