Funeral Of Iraninan President Raisi In The Hometown Today

May 23, Kathmandu- President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash, will be buried in his hometown today.

The 63-year-old Raisi along with his foreign minister and six other people were killed when a helicopter crashed in the northwestern Himalayan region of the country on Sunday while returning from the inauguration of the dam.

His final resting place will be at the Holy Shrine of Reza shrine, an important Shiite mausoleum in the northeastern city of Mashad. Mashad is the birthplace of Raisi.
