The agriculture sector can get a lot of benefit from the upcoming budget: Prachanda

May 23, Kathmandu- Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that the government is preparing to give top priority to the agriculture sector in the budget of the next financial year by the policies and programs.

Prime Minister Dahal said this while addressing the Trimurti statue inauguration ceremony organized by Konjyosom Rural Municipality of Lalitpur today. He said that the agricultural sector can get enough benefits from the government's policies and programs and budget for the coming year. Mentioning that the government had enthusiastically completed the third international investment conference just last month, Prime Minister Prachanda informed that a draft of a project was proposed for foreign investors to solve the water problems of the valley residents by using Thotnekhola water. Mentioning that there is a possibility that some wards of Konjeosom Rural Municipality can be developed as a new city, the Prime Minister said that a feasibility study will be conducted for that in the coming days.

He said that three roads in this area namely Lele-Chandanpur, Nallu-Chowghare-Unyuchour-Manikhel-Gotikhel and Birkhedhara-Dalchoki-Shankhu-Ikudol are being developed as the 'lifeline' of South Lalitpur and he expressed his belief that it will take a qualitative leap in the development of the southern region of Lalitpur. Prime Minister Prachanda mentioned that Konjosom is a place where you can enjoy natural scenic views at a close distance from Kathmandu Valley and said that income can be generated by promoting rural economy and tourism.

He expressed his belief that such tourist destinations near the capital will play a special role in earning foreign currency by prolonging the stay of tourists in this area. Mentioning that this region is very promising in terms of agriculture, vegetable farming, animal husbandry, milk and meat production, Prime Minister Prachanda said that the people of this region can get substantial benefits through modernization, mechanization, diversification and marketing of agriculture.

He emphasized stating that Konjyosom, established as a very important and picturesque rural municipality within Lalitpur district, is playing a constructive role in the development and development of the rural economy through agriculture and tourism, Prime Minister Prachanda formulated various policies, plans and programs for agricultural production, tourism potential, and maximum utilization of all available resources within the rural municipality should be implemented.

Prime Minister Prachanda expressed his belief that by promoting the local language, art and culture, in addition to establishing the identity and self-esteem of the oppressed class, caste and community, such creative activities will also contribute qualitatively to the promotion of tourism. Mentioning the role and contribution of the federal, state and local levels in the construction of the Konjiosome statue, Prime Minister Prachanda expressed his belief that the trinity, which was built with the joint cost sharing of all three levels of government, will also represent the history of the region.
