May 31, Kathmandu- Badminton player Prince Dahal will leave for Colombo, Sri Lanka to prepare for the Paris Olympics. The Prince will spend 20 days training at the Rising Stars Badminton Academy in Colombo. His training will start from this 20th of Jestha. Along with Prince, Badminton Chief Coach Sudeep Yonjan will also go to Sri Lanka.
Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC) Tanklal Ghising bid farewell to them in a program held here today. Member-Secretary Ghising instructed the Nepal Badminton Association to submit a 'training plan' for the preparation of Prince's Olympic journey and said that he sent the coach along with the Prince to Sri Lanka with the aim of upgrading Nepalese coaches.
Prince will be trained by Indonesian coach Tony Wahyudi, who has also managed the Indonesian national team. Prince has already been selected for the Paris Olympics via a wild card. Prince and badminton chief coach Yonjan will leave for Sri Lanka's Colombo on Jestha 20.
