Jun 02, Kathmandu- In the month of May 2024, 90 thousand foreign tourists have entered.

According to the statistics released by the Nepal Tourism Board today, a total of 90,211 foreign tourists visited Nepal in the month of May.

This year tourist arrival has increased by 16.10 percent compared to 2023. In May 2023, 77 thousand seven hundred three foreign tourists came to Nepal.

Before the covid-19 epidemic, 78 thousand 300 foreign tourists visited Nepal. The director of the board Maniraj Lamichhane said that the arrival of foreign tourists is encouraging.

He said, "On the whole, the arrival of tourists seems encouraging. Comparatively, although a large number of tourists have entered from India and America, the number of tourists from China has not increased as expected.

As in previous months, this time too, 38 thousand 2 hundred and 88 tourists have entered Nepal from the neighboring country India.

During the same period, eight thousand three hundred and eighty one tourists came to Nepal from another neighboring country, China. Eight thousand five hundred twenty-seven tourists have entered Nepal from the United States.
