Jun 11, Kathmandu- Birganj Metropolitan City has sealed 5 private schools operating without permission in the metropolitan area on Tuesday.

A team led by Ishwor Chandra Yadav, coordinator of the Monitoring Committee of the Municipality's Education Committee, sealed 5 private schools that were running without permission.

Coordinator Yadav said that the former primary level (Montessori) of Delhi Public School run by the name of Ninos Birgunj in Birganj Municipality-12 Murli Garden has been sealed.

Similarly, Citizen Public School which has been running since 2057 and AS Knowledge Academy which has been running since 2075 in Birgunj Metropolitan City-26 Sugauli have also been sealed on Tuesday, he informed.

Similarly, Suraj Academy operating in Birgunj Metropolitan City-18 Bhawanipur was also sealed as it was found to be operating without permission, he said. Yadav informed that the Buddha Academy, which conducted classes beyond the permitted level in Bhawanipur, was also sealed.

Along with the coordinator Yadav, the team engaged in the monitoring included Anand Lamichhane, the officer of the education division of the metropolitan city, Nawaraj Phuyal, the public relations advisor of Mayor Rajeshman Singh and others.
