We went to the government for development, how can we be satisfied when it is not there?: Oli

Jun 15, Kathmandu- Chairman of CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli has said that the government has not given necessary attention to development work.

Speaking at the Parliamentary Party meeting held at the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament Building on Saturday, he said that the UML went to the government to stop the country from going into poverty and develop it, but there is no room for satisfaction when there is no development.

He said that we should not be in the government by looking at the faces of one or two people. He said that it is necessary to review the status of the ministry run by the CPN-UML and the budget allocation in the ministry.

He asked for an open discussion about the budget allocation of the ministry. He mentioned that a change in the situation can be brought about only through discussions, suggestions and decisions in the right places.

He said that UML will not engage in rudeness, incivility, limitless, undemocratic methods to fill the pockets of self-interest. He claimed that reactionaries are creating confusion in society by inventing new and unimaginable things against CPN-UML day by day.

He said, "We went to the government to prevent the country from going towards poverty and move it forward towards development rather than why we were in the government." How can you be satisfied if that thing is not there?"

President Oli said that the opposition reactionaries of CPN-UML wanted the country not to move forward. He claimed that the CPN-UML is determined, firm and determined to build the country.
