Community School Teachers In Karnali Will Get Subsidy From The State Government

Jun 15, Kathmandu- The provincial government is going to invest in the public schools of Karnali province to improve the quality of education. This issue has been addressed in the budget statement presented in the provincial assembly on Saturday.

The provincial government, which has previously been investing in the physical infrastructure of schools, is going to give a lump-sum subsidy for the salaries and allowances of English, mathematics and science teachers from the next financial year according to the number of students.

Earlier, the teachers were demanding that the number of students in the public schools has increased and the number of vacancies is 2051.

Similarly, Economic Affairs Minister Mahendra KC said that the budget has been allocated to make 70 schools in Karnali model schools.

In his budget speech in the state assembly today (Saturday), Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning of Karnali Province KC said that an amount of 500 million has been arranged for the reconstruction of Jajarkot earthquake-affected area.

According to him, the Karnali state government has allocated 500 million rupees to rebuild the health institutions and educational areas of Jajarkot earthquake victims.

And for the Dailekh District Hospital, twenty-five million and fifty million rupees have been allocated, Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning KC said.

He said that women health volunteers will be given 10,000 rupees according to the annual incentive allowance.
