Gandaki budget statement: 2 billion to the Ministry of Agriculture

Jun 15, Kathmandu- The Gandaki government has allocated more than 2 billion budget to the Ministry of Agriculture in the coming financial year 2081/082. Finance Minister Dr. Takaraj Gurung informed that 2.9 billion has been allocated to the Ministry of Agriculture.

He said that cannabis cultivation will be brought to a conclusion through the legal process in the coming year. Similarly, 22.23 million has been set aside for organic agricultural production, and 35.2 million has been set aside for self-sufficiency in eggs, meat and milk.

Finance Minister Gurung said that the government has allocated 2.26 million rupees to run the goat development program at the local level of Gorkha under the Central Pahari Lokmarg and priority has been given to animal vaccination.
