Jun 15, Kathmandu- The Lumbini state government has presented a budget estimate of 38.97 billion rupees for the next fiscal year 2081/82.
Today (Saturday), Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Chetnarayan Acharya presented the income and expenditure estimate for the next financial year in the state assembly meeting.
The state government had brought a budget of 40 billion 479 million 700 thousand rupees for the current financial year. For the next financial year, the budget size has been reduced by 1.5 billion 970 million rupees.
In the upcoming budget, Planning Minister Acharya has allocated 11 billion 242 million 784 thousand rupees for current and 24 billion 585 million 900 thousand rupees for capital.
He informed that a budget arrangement of 38 billion 959 million 536 thousand rupees will be allocated from the provincial reserve fund and 14 million rupees will be spent on the province reserve fund.
The provincial government has said that within the next financial year, water pipes will be provided to all the houses in the province, agriculture, irrigation, tourism, drinking water, education and health will be given priority and emphasis will be placed on irrigation and electrification.
