Central Leader Will Be The Convention Representative

Jun 16, Kathmandu- The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialists) has arranged that central leaders do not need to be approved by grassroots workers to become congress delegates.

Jagannath Khatiwada, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, informed that as some leaders could not be elected due to the system that representatives should be elected from the lower level, a rule was made to allow the Central Committee to become convention representatives.

Earlier, the central council meeting had arranged that in order to select the leadership in the convention through a democratic method and to make the leader more responsible towards the workers, from the central chairman of the party to the general leader, the congress representative should come to the convention after being approved by the workers.

The members of the central commission will also be selected as representatives along with the central leader. Since the system of being elected from different constituencies and clusters has been maintained, the representative coming from that region must be approved by the lower-level workers.

Department head Khatiwada informed that the meeting is going to automatically select a representative to solve the problems that have arisen in the management of the central level leaders. One representative will be selected for 125 workers, while Dalits, youth and women will be proportionally represented. The tenth convention of the party to select the new leadership will be held from 16th to 20th of this Asadha.
