Hetaunda Sub-metropolitan Budget Decreased By 460 Million

Jun 16, Kathmandu- Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city has allocated a budget of 2 billion 438 million 971 thousand rupees for the next financial year 2081/082. In the 15th Municipal Assembly meeting on Sunday, Hetaunda Deputy Mayor Rajesh Baniya proposed a budget of 46.72 million 29 thousand rupees or 16.07 percent less than the current year's budget for the coming year.

Deputy Mayor Baniya said that the budget size has been reduced in the coming year due to the adverse situation in the national economy, the decreasing budget limit from the union and the state.

Among the sources of expenditure estimated for the coming year, there are 1.16 billion 53 million rupees from federal government grants, 53.27 million 95 thousand rupees from internal sources, 61.65 million rupees from revenue sharing and 111.17 million rupees from various state government grants.

After completing the construction of the integrated bus park and terminal building under construction in Hetaunda-10, 60 million rupees have been allocated for operation from next year and 17 million rupees have been allocated by the sub-metropolis for the maintenance of cooperative roads. The sub-metropolitan city has allocated 15 million rupees for the emergency maintenance of various infrastructures and has allocated 70 million rupees for the expansion of Padampokhari main road.

In the next financial year, 170 million rupees have been allocated for the payment of the transfer of responsibility plan, 2 million 8 million rupees for the payment of low water tariff, 17 million 200 thousand rupees for the construction of Nagaswati Football Stadium, 20 million rupees have been allocated for wards number 15, 16 and 17 under the Hetounda ring road.

The policy and program of Hetounda sub-metropolis for the year 2081/082 presented by the city chief Meenakumari Lama in the Municipal Assembly has been passed unanimously.
