Jun 21, Kathmandu- The United States' Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has filed a complaint with the Department of Justice against TikTok and its operator, the Chinese company Byte Dance, for possible violations of children's privacy.
In the investigation conducted by the FTC itself, the company has stated that the company is violating the privacy of children or is in violation of the law. Speaking to the BBC, TikTok's spokesperson said that they are disappointed with the decision. It is said that this matter is different from the previous law passed by the US Parliament that the Chinese company must sell the ticket or it will be closed in the US.
The FTC has also said that it will not file such a complaint, but that this matter is being done with the public interest in mind. The Tiktok spokesperson denied the allegations and stated that they have been working for a year to address the FTC's concerns.
Earlier, Tiktok filed a case in the American court against the law made in the United States, but now it is in another controversy.
