Four Directors Of The Medical Education Commission Held The Responsibility

Jun 24, Kathmandu- Four directors of the Medical Education Commission have taken charge. Pro. Dr. Sudeep Acharya, Pro. Dr. Guru Khanal, Pro. Dr. Sujanbabu Marhattha and Pro. Dr. Sarla Shrestha accepted the appointment letter and took charge on Monday.

Dr. Acharya previously worked as a member of Nepal Medical Council. He has also worked in the expert group of the Medical Education Commission. Dr. Guru Khanal is the former registrar of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan. Dr. Marhattha is a public health expert. Dr Sarla is the former Head of Maharajganj Nursing Campus.

Pro. Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha, vice president of the commission, has given the appointment letter to him. The Medical Education Act provides for the appointment of vice-presidents based on the names recommended by the committee.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', who is also the director of the commission, formed a three-member committee under the coordination of Dr Phuyal on Ashwin 30. Pro. Dr. Rameshkant Adhikari and Pro. Dr. Buddhi Bahadur Thapa were members of the committee.
