150 Projects Launched In Afghanistan Within A Year

Jun 25, Kathmandu- A local official said that the construction work of 150 agricultural and infrastructure projects with an investment of 4.5 million US dollars has started in Herat province of Western Afghanistan in less than a year.

The projects include reservoir dams, roads, protective walls and water canals, as well as adjacent wells in the province's Angel, Gujara and Jendajan districts, Herat's provincial government spokesman Nisar Ahmed Ilyas said.

Employment opportunities have been created for six thousand villagers by implementing the public utility project. The local authorities have focused on balanced development, job creation and improving people's livelihood in the province.

The Afghan caretaker government plans to launch more agricultural and infrastructure projects across the war-torn country in a bid to tackle economic challenges and create job opportunities.
