According to the District Police Complex, Kathmandu, a team of Maharajganj police circle has arrested one person on the charge of theft.

On Asadha 12, the police arrested one person, Sunil Mahato, Ram Punit Mahato from Kathmandu Budhanilkanth Municipality-1 Nilopul.

There are four charges of theft against him.

It is alleged that on Kartik 6, 2080, various brands of liquor were stolen from Garden View Restaurant at Tokha-4 Dhapasi. Alcohol worth 50,000 was stolen at that time. Sunil was absconding after that incident.

2080 Magh 10 Tokha-10 Prayasnagar also revealed that liquor worth 410 thousand was stolen from RK KV Traders.

Similarly, he is accused of stealing batteries, grinder machines, etc. from the sand depot in Budhanilkanth-8 Bhangal on Jestha 9.

He is accused of breaking into a fashion photo studio shop at Budhanilkanth-7 Golphutar on Asadha 11 and stealing a bridal lehenga set worth 195 thousand and 2 lakh. After the complaint, the police searched and arrested him.

The police have started further investigation on him. The police have also recovered the car number BC 8360 used by him.
