BYD Vehicles Ban Threat Rises

Jul 02, Kathmandu- BYD electric vehicles imported from China have been widely reported to have evaded taxes by making the political environment favorable to them. As the news of continuous tax evasion and importation of vehicles came out, the Revenue Investigation Department raided and started an investigation. The victims have said that many technical errors have also been observed in BYD vehicles. Due to this reason, the vehicle has been banned in the world market.

It has been known for a long time that it was brought to Nepal by evading taxes. According to a source, Cymex Inc., the Nepal-based sales company of BYD, which sells Chinese cars, after a long time of homework, imported cars on the basis of political access while making a policy on electric vehicles.
