Lucky Jewelers Of New Road Smuggled Gold 331 Kg!

Jul 05, Kathmandu- It has been revealed that Lucky Jewelers at New Road in Kathmandu bought 331 kg of smuggled gold.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police, which is investigating gold smuggling, has found such evidence. The CIB recovered some documents from the gold refinery room of Siddhanath Ashok Gaikwad, an Indian citizen, in the New Road area of ​​Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality-22, where a bill pad with the name of Lucky Jewelers was also found.

According to the bill pad, 121.55 kg on 29 December 2079, 177.419 kg on 11 Paush 2079, 18.360 kg on 12 Ashwin 2079 and on Paush 6, 2079, Lucky Jewelers bought 331.049 kg of smuggled gold amounting to 13.72 kg, according to CIB. 38-year-old Mukunda Kumar Thakur, the manager of Lucky Jewelers and Rishi Thakur, the owner, are absconding after the documents were recovered from the refinery house of Siddhanath.

Earlier, the CIB arrested former DSP KP Sharma alias Krishna Prasad Sharma and Jabindra Khatri after they were found to have taken Rs 850,000 from the mobile wallet companies. An investigation is being conducted against them for the crime of cheating by criminal belief.
