Five Arrested When Police Raided A Flat Used By Indians To Melt Gold

Jul 05, Kathmandu- The police raided the flat of an Indian citizen in Lalitpur.

SP Nareshraj Subedi of District Police Complex Lalitpur informed that the police raided the third floor flat of an under-construction house in Ward No. 14 Talchikhel, Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality.

The team of police circle Satdobato conducted a raid after information about illegal gold trading.

According to SP Subedi, five people have been arrested from there.

Those arrested are 28-year-old Yuvraj Bibhute, 28-year-old Bikram Yalwar, 18-year-old Abhishek Bibhute and 20-year-old Siddhant Choulagai of Bhaktapur Suryavinayak Municipality-1 Biruwa and 20-year-old Yeswant Sunar of Mahalakshmi Municipality-8 who live in a flat in Talchikhel, Lalitpur, Maharashtra.

They have been sent to Revenue Investigation Department Harihar Bhavan Lalitpur for further investigation.

169.970 grams of gold, 246.250 grams of silver, a digital scale, mobile, hard disk, SIM card, 5 million four thousand 730 rupees and a gold melting machine were recovered from them.
