Jul 09, Kathmandu- Health officials have said that the number of corona infected in Zambia has increased.
On Monday, the Minister of Health of Zambia, Sylvia Masebo, told a press conference that 2.4 percent of the 3,700 samples tested between May and June were confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus. Corona infection was confirmed in 1.5 percent last month.
Masebo said, "Corona infection has been found in six out of 10 provinces of the country. Out of which the most infected have been found in Lusa." According to him, from January to June this year, four thousand seven hundred and seventy corona infected have been found across the country.
Zambia has also reported an increase in diseases such as respiratory and influenza due to cold and dry conditions. The ministry has said that it is active in detecting the virus and other diseases.
