Jul 09, Kathmandu- The policies and programs of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City for the next financial year 2081-82 have been passed.

Before this, the ward presidents had expressed their displeasure saying that Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah had brought a single budget. After that, in the policy and program that was presented, the ward presidents registered different 28-point amendment proposals.

161 members of the City Council unanimously agreed to that. Mayor Shah has announced that the policy and program has been passed by the City Council today with amendments.

However, the ward presidents have not responded yet. Currently, the city council is discussing the budget for the financial year 2081-82.

Mayor Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City was elected independently.
