Jul 14, Kathmandu- Chhiring Kesang Sherpa, a student of Reliance College, has won the title of Spell Bee (English Spelling Contest) of the fifth season.

Chhiring Kesang Sherpa, a student of Humanities faculty of the college, has won a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh after winning the title from the program which has been aired on Kantipur TV for the past 7 months, every Wednesday from 9 pm to 10 pm.

About 900 colleges from all over the country participated in the program conducted by journalist Bhushan Dahal.

In this program, which was started as a promotion of reality shows, Malin Media selected the contestants by reaching the campuses of colleges across the country.

After Sherpa won the title of the fifth edition, Ravindra Jung Thapa, the principal of that college, said that Reliance College always excels in such big competitions because Reliance College gives high priority to regular extracurricular activities to bring out the inner talent of students.
