Jul 18, Kathmandu- The team of Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested two foreign nationals with 1 kg and 100 grams of illegal drug cocaine.

Among those arrested are 23-year-old Indian citizen Fahimuddin Nasimuddin Ansari and 44-year-old Nigerian citizen Ikechukwu Cyril Obodoifula, the head of the Narcotics Control Bureau and Senior Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Acharya informed. He said, "Indian smuggler Ansari was arrested from Thamel along with the cocaine brought by Obodoifula, a Nigerian citizen who came to Nepal from Qatar Airlines on Shrawan 1."

Chief Acharya said that Obodoifula, a Nigerian citizen who brought the said cocaine, was also arrested from Pinglasthan in Kathmandu. The bureau said that Ansari, who came to get the cocaine, had come to Kathmandu from Indigo Airlines via Mumbai.

According to the police, it was discovered that the cocaine capsules were made and hidden in a jacket and brought from Qatar. According to the Narcotics Control Act, 2033, action will be taken against those arrested, Bureau Chief and Senior Superintendent of Police Acharya said.
