Jul 23, Kathmandu- National Independent Party MP Manish Jha has demanded the government to immediately inform the parliament about the situation of Nepali students in the protest against government reservation quota in Bangladesh.
Speaking at an emergency session in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, he said that there was a violent movement there and even though the Nepalis were safe, the government should inform the Parliament in detail about it.
"A few days ago, there were some protests in Bangladesh regarding the reservation related issue and it took the form of aggressive movement. More than 150 people were killed. Many Nepali students who had gone to study there from Nepal returned from there during the emergency. Fortunately, no Nepalese have lost their lives so far," said MP Jha.
MP Jha said that since many Nepali students had gone to Bangladesh for studies, they had to suffer after that violent incident, so the government should inform the House about it and address their pain.
